Behind the Scenes of a Brand Film in Colorado Springs
This project began as an early brand experiment for Wild Prairie Photography, an exploration of movement, connection, and visual storytelling outside of still imagery.
At the time, it was introduced as a model call for a brand film. While the application period has long since closed and the final video itself wasn’t something I ultimately used, the experience behind this project remains meaningful. Not because of a finished product, but because of what it clarified along the way.
Filmed in Colorado Springs with mountain views as the backdrop, this session focused on documenting real connection as it unfolded, unscripted, unposed, and grounded in the kind of relationships that have always shaped my work. The images created during this process became a visual touchstone, helping refine the direction and feel of Wild Prairie Photography moving forward.
Brand work like this is deeply personal. It isn’t about perfection or polish, it’s about clarity. About understanding what matters, how it feels, and how to translate that into imagery that’s honest and intentional.
Even years later, this project holds value as part of that evolution. Sometimes the most important creative work isn’t defined by what gets released, but by what it teaches you as you grow.
This post exists as a small window into that process, a reminder that experimentation, discernment, and creative standards are just as much a part of the work as the final result.
