Choosing the right person to share such an intimate and meaningful moment with was a huge decision for us. We only felt warmth, comfort, and genuine support. By the end of the experience, we felt like we'd gained a new friend.

Hi, I'm Sandy.

Your Colorado elopement photographer and the calm, steady presence you didn't know you needed on your wedding day. I've spent years photographing love stories across the Front Range and deep into the Colorado mountains, and I still get that feeling every time someone cries during their vows.

I'll help you find the perfect location, build a timeline that actually lets you breathe, navigate permits, connect you with vendors, and make sure your day feels like yours from the first look to the last frame. You don't need to have it figured out yet. That's what I'm here for.

Sandy, Colorado elopement photographer, smiling warmly in a softly lit indoor setting.

This is for you if...

You want to stand somewhere vast and say the words out loud with no one watching but the person you mean them for.

You want your day to feel like a deep breath, not a production.

You want someone beside you who knows the mountains, who will hold the details so you can hold each other.

You want photos that feel like the wind was moving through your hair and your hands were shaking and you meant every word.

You don't want to plan this alone.

I've got you.

Before you Begin:

You do NOT need to have it all figured out. No date, no location, no Pinterest board required. Just a feeling. We'll build from there.

Every collection is a starting point. Your day gets shaped around you, not the other way around.

If you're still wondering whether this is really possible, still dreaming, still circling the idea, you're already in the right place.

No two elopements I photograph look the same. Because no two love stories do.

Your Colorado Adventure Guide

I know these mountains. The hidden meadows, the overlooks that make people go quiet, the trails that feel like the edge of the world. Whether you're drawn to Garden of the Gods, Rocky Mountain National Park, Maroon Bells, or somewhere you've never heard of yet, you'll get access to my client-exclusive location catalog plus custom scouting to find the place that feels like it was made for the two of you.

Planning Support from Start to Finish

We start with a planning call to talk through your vision, your vibe, and how you want your day to feel. After that, I'm here for all of it. Every question, every new idea, every “wait, what about..." that comes up at midnight. From the first conversation to the moment you drive away married, you don't plan this alone. Think of me as your co-pilot for the whole journey.

A Calm, Steady Presence on Your Day

Colorado mountain weather changes fast. Nerves show up at unexpected moments. Plans shift. When any of that happens, I'm right there. Grounded, steady, and ready to help you make decisions without carrying the weight of it alone. I don't book back-to-back elopements, which means your day gets my full attention and the flexibility to adjust if we need to. Your only job is to be present with each other. I've got the rest.

No stiff posing. No “look at me and smile." I'll guide you into natural, connected moments throughout your elopement so the two of you can stay focused on each other. Movement, laughter, stillness, the way you reach for each other without thinking about it. That's what I'm looking for. The images will look like you, because they are you.

Creative Direction That Feels Like You

A Timeline Built Around Your Day

A thoughtful timeline is the difference between a day that flows and a day that feels rushed. I'll work with you to map out every piece of your elopement, accounting for golden hour, travel between locations, altitude, weather patterns, and the breathing room you need to actually be present. Whether we're chasing sunrise on a mountain pass or settling into the warmth of a Colorado Springs sunset, every detail is designed so your day feels unhurried and intentional.

Permits, handled!

Some of the most stunning elopement locations in Colorado require permits for ceremonies and professional photography, and navigating the process isn't always straightforward. National parks, state lands, and wilderness areas all have their own requirements, timelines, and fees. I'll research what's needed for your specific location, walk you through the process, and make sure everything is taken care of before your day. The paperwork should never be the thing keeping you up at night.

Vendors You Can Trust

Need an officiant, florist, hair and makeup artist, or a bakery for a celebration after your vows? Planning a Colorado elopement from out of state means not knowing who to call. I'll connect you with local vendors I know and trust, people who show up with the same warmth and care you deserve on your day. No cold googling. Just good people who are great at what they do.

Your Elopement Guide

Every couple receives a comprehensive elopement planning guide built to help you feel prepared and present on your day. From timelines and packing tips to what to expect at every stage, it's designed to answer the questions you didn't know you had. Think of it as your roadmap for the whole experience. But the guide doesn't replace me. I'm with you through all of it, answering every question, adjusting every detail, making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

Hiking and Mountain Prep Guidance

Your Colorado Elopement in 3 Easy Steps

Step 1: Let’s Talk

Fill out my inquiry form and tell me what you're dreaming of. Where are you drawn to? How do you want your day to feel? Who will be there? Every detail that matters to you matters to me. I'll be in touch and we'll set up a planning call to hear your love story, talk through your vision, and start shaping something that feels like the two of you.

Step 2: We Plan It Together

From location scouting and custom timelines to permits, vendors, lodging, and what to wear, I'll lock down every detail so your day comes together exactly the way you imagined it. You bring the vision, I'll bring the plan. By the time your elopement day arrives, the only thing left to do is show up and be present with each other.

Step 3: Say Your Vows

This is the part where you hold each other's hands, say the words you've been carrying, and begin the rest of your life together. I'll be right there, quiet and close, capturing every single moment so you can stay fully in it. Your only job is to love each other. I've got the rest.

Not Sure Where to Start?

I put together a Colorado elopement planning guide for couples who are still in the dreaming stage, or somewhere between ‘we want to do this’, and ‘how do we actually make it happen.’

It covers locations, permits, timelines, what to pack, and everything you don't think to ask until you're in the middle of planning. Consider it a good place to land when you're ready to start turning the feeling into a day.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Plan on about six weeks. If you need images sooner for save-the-dates or announcements, just let me know. I'm happy to work with your timeline.

  • It depends on where you want to be. Some parks and public lands require a permit for ceremonies or professional photography. I'll walk you through exactly what's needed for your location so you're not piecing it together alone.

  • Any county clerk's office in Colorado can issue your marriage license, and in most cases you'll have it in hand the same day. Colorado also allows self-solemnization, which means you can legally marry yourselves without an officiant. And yes, your dog can be your witness.

  • It depends on how you want your day to feel. Two hours is perfect for a ceremony and couples photos, just the two of you. Three hours gives breathing room for a few guests or a slower pace. Four hours opens up getting ready, hiking to your spot, and more time to just be together. We'll talk through it during your planning call and find what fits.

  • You'll receive a full gallery of every hand-edited image from your day. I don't hold anything back.

  • Absolutely. If your day calls for more time, we'll add it to your proposal.

  • Yes. The collections are a starting point. If you want to shape your day differently or need something outside of what's listed, tell me what you're dreaming of and I'll put together a custom proposal.

  • Always. Wherever the two of you want to be, I'll make it work. Reach out with the details and I'll put together a custom quote with travel included.

  • I have a client-exclusive location catalog with spots across Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods, the Front Range, and deeper into the mountains at Rocky Mountain National Park, Maroon Bells, Breckenridge, Great Sand Dunes, and beyond. We'll find the right place together based on the feeling you're after, how adventurous you want to get, and the time of year.

  • Every collection includes styling guidance and access to my client closet. During your planning call we'll talk through what works for your location, the weather, and how you want to feel in your photos. The goal is for you to look at each other and think yes.

  • If your elopement involves a hike or a remote location, we'll plan for it. Some couples change at the trailhead, some bring a changing tent, some get ready at a nearby Airbnb before heading out. We'll sort through the logistics together so it feels easy, not stressful.

  • Fill out the inquiry form on this page. You'll receive a proposal via email. Choose the coverage you think you’ll need (don’t worry, we can adjust it later), accept the proposal, and we start planning your day.
