Colorado Springs Wedding Photographer Coverage and Pricing
The nervous hands while getting ready. Your best friend fixing your collar for the third time. The gasp when the doors open. The way your partner's face changes when they see you, and everything else in the room disappears. The toast that breaks everyone. The first dance where it's somehow just the two of you again.
Your wedding day is full of moments that move too fast to hold. But they can be kept. Whether you're saying your vows at a Colorado Springs wedding venue or slipping away at sunset for portraits in the mountains, every moment of your day is worth remembering.
Based in Colorado Springs, Wild Prairie Photography is available for weddings across Colorado and beyond.
The room full of laughter. the tears no one expected. love pouring in from every corner.

Planning an elopement instead?
Hi, I'm Sandy.
Your Colorado wedding photographer, here for every moment from the first look to the last dance. I've spent years documenting love stories across the Front Range and deep in the Colorado mountains, and I still feel it every single time, the way the room shifts when you see each other, the tears nobody planned on, the laughter that comes out of nowhere.
Weddings have a lot of moving pieces. I'll help you build a timeline that actually breathes, coordinate with your vendors, scout the right locations for portraits, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
So, on your wedding day, your only job is to be present. I've got the rest.
Hi, I'm Sandy.

If this Sounds Like Your Kind of Day…
You want a wedding that feels like a really good night with everyone you love in one room.
You care more about the real moments than the perfect ones.
You want someone there who sees the quiet things, the hand squeeze under the table, the look across the room.
You want to sneak away at golden hour and remember you're married.
You want photos that feel like the day felt, not like a production of it.
You don't want to be posed. You want to be present.
I’d love to Be There For it.

Before you Begin:
You don’t need a Pinterest-perfect vision. You just need to know how you want your day to feel.
Whether your guest list is 20 or 200, I photograph weddings where connection matters more than production, and presence matters more than perfection.
If you’re planning a big celebration but still want it to feel like you, we’re going to get along really well.
Your venue doesn’t have to be a mountaintop. But I’d love to steal you away at sunset for portraits that take your breath away.

What's Included with The Experience
More than coverage hours and a gallery.
Every collection is built to support the full experience, from thoughtful planning and steady guidance to heirlooms that last long after the day is over.
Sunset couples Portrait Scouting
Your venue holds the ceremony, but the mountains hold the golden hour. I'll scout locations near your venue for sunset portraits that take you away from the celebration just long enough to catch your breath together. Whether it's a ridge ten minutes from your reception or a quiet Colorado overlook you didn't know existed, I'll find the spot where the light does something unforgettable.
Venue and Vendor Coordination
Before your wedding day, I'll connect with your venue and vendors to understand the space, the flow, and any details that affect timing or lighting. When possible, I'll scout your venue in person so I know exactly where the best light falls and where the quiet corners are. On your day, I work seamlessly alongside your vendor team so everything flows together without you having to think about it.
Planning Support from Start to Finish
We start with a planning call to talk through your vision and how you want your day to feel. From there, I'm part of your team. Questions about your timeline, your getting ready space, your family photo list, whether to do a first look. I'm here for all of it. You don't navigate this alone.
A Calm, Steady Presence on Your Day
Wedding days move fast. Things run behind. Family dynamics show up. Weather changes plans. When any of that happens, I'm right there, grounded and steady, helping you stay present instead of spinning. I don't book back-to-back weddings, so your day gets my full attention and the flexibility to roll with whatever comes.
Creative Direction That Feels Like You
I'll guide you and your partner into moments that feel natural, real, and connected. The two of you laughing because someone told a terrible joke. Walking together in the last golden light. The forehead touch when nobody else is watching. That's what I'm looking for.
A Timeline Built Around Your Day
Every wedding day has its own rhythm, and your timeline should honor that. I'll work with you and your venue to build a flow that accounts for ceremony time, portraits, family photos, golden hour, and the moments in between that need room to breathe. No rushing from one thing to the next. Your day should feel like yours, not like a schedule you're trying to keep up with.
Vendors You Can Trust
Still looking for a florist, DJ, hair and makeup artist, or officiant? I've been photographing weddings in Colorado Springs and across the Front Range for years, and I've worked alongside some incredible people. I’ll connect you with vendors I trust so you’re not sorting through strangers on the internet.
Your Wedding Guide
A comprehensive wedding guide covering everything from building your timeline and creating your shot list to what to expect on the day itself. Whether you're deep in the details or just getting started, this guide was written to make the process feel less like a checklist and more like something to look forward to.
Permit Guidance When You Need It
If your ceremony or portraits are taking place on public land, at a Colorado State Park, national park, or anywhere that requires a permit, I'll help you navigate the process. Not every wedding needs one, but when you do, you won't have to figure it out alone.
Lodging Recommendations
Family and friends traveling to Colorado for your wedding? I'll share curated lodging and Airbnb recommendations near your venue so your guests have somewhere beautiful to stay and you have a gorgeous space to get ready in.
A Handmade Wooden Box, Curated Prints, and a Custom USB
Every wedding collection includes a handmade keepsake box filled with curated prints from your day and a custom wooden USB with your full gallery. Something real to hold, something to set on the mantel, beside the dried bouquet.
Your Full Gallery of Hand-Edited Images
Every image from your wedding day, professionally edited and delivered through your personal online gallery. Print your favorites anywhere, order canvases and albums directly from your gallery, and share them with everyone who was in the room that day. No limits. No held-back favorites. Your day, your images, yours to keep.
Your Included Engagement Session
Devoted and Boundless collections include a complimentary Rooted Connection engagement session, and it's one of my favorite parts of the whole experience. Not because of the photos, though you'll love them. It’s because we get to meet in person. It’s where you first learn what it feels like to be in front of my camera, and I learn the way you two move together. The inside jokes, the way one of you always reaches for the other's hand, the laugh that comes when you stop thinking about being photographed.
By the time your wedding day arrives, I'm not a stranger with a camera. I'm someone who already knows you. Who already knows that look. And your wedding photos are better for it.
Booking under eight hours? You can add a Rooted Connection engagement session to any collection for $750.
Your Colorado Wedding in 3 Easy Steps
Step 1: Let’s Talk
Fill out my inquiry form and tell me what you're envisioning. The venue that made you both go quiet. The guest list you keep going back and forth on. How you want it to feel when you look back on it all. Every detail that matters to you matters to me. I'll be in touch, and we'll set up a planning call to hear your story, talk through your vision, and start shaping a day that feels like the two of you.
Step 2: We Plan It Together
From vendor coordination and custom timelines to portrait locations, family photo lists, and golden hour logistics, I'll hold every detail so your day comes together exactly the way you imagined it. You bring the vision. I'll bring the plan. By the time your wedding day arrives, the only thing left to do is get dressed and walk toward each other.
Step 3: Get Married
This is the part where the music starts, and everyone stands up. Where your partner's face changes, your hands won't stop shaking, and you say the words you've been practicing in the mirror for weeks. I'll be right there, quiet and close, capturing every single moment so you can stay fully in it. Your only job is to love each other. I've got the rest.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Most Colorado Springs wedding couples book nine to twelve months out, especially for peak season weekends between May and October. If your date is coming up sooner, still reach out. I may have availability and I'd love to talk about your day.
-
It depends on how your day is shaped. Four hours covers a ceremony and portraits. Six hours adds getting ready and early reception. Eight to ten hours gives you the full story, from getting dressed to the last dance. We'll talk through your timeline during your planning call and find the right fit.
-
Absolutely. This is one of the most important parts of the planning process, and you do not have to figure it out alone. I help every couple build a photography timeline that feels thoughtful, realistic, and unhurried so your day has room to breathe.
We’ll talk through light, travel time, family photos, getting ready, your ceremony, and the moments that matter most to you. My goal is to create a flow where you can stay present in your wedding day instead of feeling rushed through it.
-
Yes. The collections are a starting point. If you need additional hours, want to add an engagement session, or are planning something that doesn't fit neatly into one tier, tell me what you're envisioning and I'll build a custom proposal around your day.
-
Either one. I love both. A first look gives you a private, quiet moment together before everything starts moving, and it opens up more time for portraits. Waiting for the ceremony keeps that raw, unscripted reaction. We'll talk about what feels right for you during your planning call.
-
Most couples tell me they’re nervous about this before we begin, and almost all of them leave saying it felt so much easier than they expected. You do not need modeling experience or to know what to do with your hands.
I guide gently when needed, but I’m mostly creating space for you to be together. We move, talk, laugh, breathe, and settle into the moment instead of performing for the camera. The result is photos that feel natural, connected, and honestly like you.
-
I've photographed weddings at venues across Colorado Springs and the surrounding area and I'm happy to share recommendations based on your vision, your guest count, and the feeling you're going for. From garden venues to mountain lodges to downtown spaces, I'll help you think through what fits.
-
Always. I photograph weddings across the Front Range, up into the mountains, and beyond. Rocky Mountain National Park, Breckenridge, Estes Park, Denver, Pueblo, anywhere your day takes you. Reach out with your details and I'll put together a custom quote with travel included.
-
If your elopement involves a hike or a remote location, we'll plan for it. Some couples change at the trailhead, some bring a changing tent, some get ready at a nearby Airbnb before heading out. We'll sort through the logistics together so it feels easy, not stressful.
-
We roll with it. Some of my favorite wedding photos have been taken in the rain, in the wind, in weather that wasn't part of the plan. If your ceremony or portraits are outdoors, we'll have a backup plan in place. And if the sunset breaks through after the storm, we'll chase it.
-
Plan on about eight weeks. Wedding galleries are larger and take more time to hand-edit. If you need a few images sooner for thank-you cards or announcements, let me know, and we'll make it work.
-
Fill out the inquiry form. You'll receive a proposal via email. Choose the coverage you think you’ll need (don’t worry, we can adjust it later), then, accept the proposal, and we start planning.
